Immerse Yourself in Alaska's Majesty
& Splendor

Join Dee Ann on an awe-inspiring photographic journey into Alaska, the last frontier, with her book, "Alaska's Inspirations." Each of the 100 pages showcases spectacular images captured over twelve enchanting weeks in 2015... from the rugged and remote Alaska Peninsula, to the dramatic and storied Southeast Alaska, to the grandeur of Denali National Park, and finally to the remote northern village of Kaktovik on Barter Island in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.

Why Alaska Inspires Me...

If I could choose, or no, if I were forced to choose, only one place on earth I could return each year, there is no doubt in my mind it would be Alaska. A magical, untouched gem, the vastness of Alaska, coupled with its spectacular diversity - of landscape, fauna and flora - has captured my heart and touched my soul.

I do not come by this declaration lightly. I've traveled six continents over the past 20 years, in search of all that nature's majesty has to offer. I've captured much of this beauty in my "Windows of Nature" photographic images. Although each place is remarkable in its own way, Alaska has eclipsed even my love of East Africa when it comes to wonder, awe, and sheer magnificence.

In 2001, I sat on the colorful carpet of fall tundra in Denali National Park, with a bull moose bedded down nearby. The silence brought a calm and sense of peace I'd never experienced. Only the occasional symphony of Sandhill Cranes above, calling as they circled on the thermals, broke the quietude, as they began their annual migratory ritual south. Not until long after the moose got up and walked to a kettle pond to drink did I realize hours had passed without my really knowing. I was enveloped in special moments with mother nature. It was during this trip to Alaska it became clear to me that I needed a way to renew my soul, to escape the chaos of my career, and to join a flow of life where nature would guide the rhythm of my days, not the demands and opinions of others.

For this, and so many of nature's gifts, I am truly grateful. I want to share some of those gifts with you, through the indelible magic of these images.
